Rising Ceramics
The aim of this project was to achieve the layers and air pockets a puff pastry has in ceramics. After a process of experimenting with different doughs and heating techniques in the clay, the tiles were made from a mix of yeast, dough and porcelain, which was fried at a high temperature and finally baked in a kiln and glazed.
